K Kwan is a gift from heaven. A work that plunges you into a dark and foggy universe, while remaining irresistibly endearing and comfortable

What more can we say about the monstrous K Kwan, one of the most brilliant lyricists and rappers of this generation. Inexhaustible, he has this ability to get the best out of himself when you put him in confidence, he loves and understands what he does, as complementary as Siamese twins.

K Kwan is also one of the most remarkable hip hop scientists, so generous, that he takes every advise given to him and he perfects his production.

I’m convinced K Kwan has managed to find his own identity. Once again we find a terribly efficient K Kwan, with a sharp pen, who manages to transform something simple into something so charismatic that it’s impossible not to be seduced. And yet, K Kwan has nothing new here, it’s the same formula, the same flow or the same temperament. As for the production, one clearly feels the paw of K Kwan.

But honestly, it’s so brilliant and so mastered, witnessing a sensational chemical reaction (and that’s the case to say it), that it’s impossible not to succumb to the charm. You have to imagine the arduous task of creating a solid afro fusion rap song these days, because it’s all about a multitude of little details that actually change the whole deal.

Because clearly, there’s no innovation on K Kwan, which remains an important criterion for me, but then again, the importance lies elsewhere. First of all, there is the thematic aspect that sets up the scenery that the duo (K Kwan and the producer) has perfectly realized again.

This immersion is so fascinating that you feel like you’re really there. Finally, when you think about it, it’s above all this balance between the execution, the writing and the richness of the production that remains the key to the success of this new song “FLAVOUR” and also of K Kwan’ previous ones. So yes, this not my favourite project in his discography, I definitely prefer “Bad Boy & HYPOCRISY” which remain indescribable, but K Kwan has everything of an endearing song that will accompany your year after year as a sure value.
